Just as we have with the rest of our lives we are sharing our midlife crisis 🙂

About 12 months ago during a lazy lunchtime discussion (lubricated by a couple of beers) we were tossing around ideas of experiences we’d like to have in the future, only to discover that sailing was a shared dream. We decided to pursue the dream and booked a weeks competent crew course – and we were hooked.

We weren’t in a particular hurry to purchase a boat but after spotting this beauty whilst browsing the net we knew she was the one. We tried not to jump straight in so looked around for a bit (a weeks a bit right?) but nothing else compared. We were worried we’d miss her so we took the plunge…. turns out the owners had another offer coming in the same day so she was meant to be ours!

And so our journey begins – we have hopes of lots of Bluewater sailing in the future but for now will be learning in our local waters.

Length – 46’10” (14.27 metres)

Originally named “Zephyr Queen”, then renamed by previous owners as “Stolen Kiss” (they wished to retain the name for a future boat) and we have named her “Zephyr Lily” – a return to her heritage with a personalised twist!
